I had so much fun exploring Morpeth with Lana and Mitch for their engagement session! Morpeth is one of my favourite places to visit, I mean how lucky are we to have such a sweet little township to explore! Beautiful sandstone buildings, cobbled paths and some gorgeous old doors... a photographers dream!
Lana and Mitch met at Junction Hotel one afternoon, Mitch was there watching the Origin with his mates and Lana was there meeting her girlfriend for a couple of drinks. Lana noticed Mitch from across the room and as fate would have it... the two groups joined tables, with conversations and champagne flowing the two hit it off in a big way and as Lana says... 'the rest is history'.
Mitch planned an incredible proposal for Lana while holidaying in Fiji at the beautiful Musket Cove Resort. Mitch spent the day pretending to do random things to keep Lana from catching on to what he was organising. Pretending to get Pies, Ice and even Salt and Pepper at one point. Lana was happily enjoying the day and looking forward to dinner when they were guided out to a special table for 2 out on a wharf. They ordered some cocktails, chatted and were watching the ocean when the waitress came out clumsily holding something which Lana thought was the entrees... as she got closer, Lana realised it was a box of flowers... still not suspecting anything, the waitress handed Lana the box... and inside was the most beautiful pacific pearl ring. Cue guitar serenader singing an Ed Sheeran song and Lana balling her eyes out, the sun setting and a school of flying fish flying by... Lana described it 'like a movie!'
She said yes!
Lana and Mitch had their handsome little boy, Ruben with us on their engagement shoot (with Nana not too far away to lend a helping hand). I can not tell you how cute Ruben is, he has just learnt to clap and he loves touching noses... oh my goodness... I could have taken him home with me!
I can’t wait to capture your wedding day in August!
