I find the beauty in genuine moments from an editorial perspective, bringing a mixture of fine art, portraiture, and photojournalism to every wedding I capture. My aim is to tell a timeless and beautiful story that not only takes you back to that time and place but that will transport you to an even more romantic and softer version of it.

Tell us about the proposal:

“It was exactly three years on from the date we first met – 29.10.2016.
It was a Tuesday. Todd always said the date we first met didn’t count and always counted our time together from when he asked me to be his girlfriend (12.01.2017), but I decided to make it a thing – I got up and said, I will go to work, we will go to the gym together and then we will go for a picnic as its 3 years since we first met.

I went to work, we went to the gym together and I distinctly remember looking over at Todd while I was struggling big time during the workout and he was smiling to himself to the song ‘Happier by Marshmello’ – which he later told me was the moment he realised he was going to propose this day.

We came home, quickly got ready to catch the sunset, grabbed a bottle of champagne out of the fridge and went to get curry (our fav) before heading to the lookout.

We ate our curry and then Todd told me to stand up and pop the bottle of champagne. I didn’t want to because there was quite a few people around so asked if I could just do it sitting down. After a bit of back and forth he had convinced me to stand up to open the bottle because he said he wanted to film me doing it.

When I stood up to pop the bottle, he said, ‘so what are you popping it for?’ I said I don’t know, so he said ‘well I better give you a reason’ and he got on one knee and asked me to marry him.

There were lots of tears and lots of ‘oh my god’s’.

We finished our champagne and then went to surprise my Mum and Dad, then my Grandma and pop and then Todd’s Mum and Dad.”

Why did you choose Merewether Surfhouse above anywhere else to get married?

“Todd and I had our first date at Merewether Surfhouse so seemed fitting to have our reception here. We also have many memories in Merewether – we met at a house party in Merewether, Todd asked me to be his girlfriend at the Hickson Street Lookout in Merewether, he told me he loved me at the Beaches Hotel in Merewether, we got engaged at the Hickson Street Lookout in Merewether and now we are having our wedding at Merewether Surfhouse, it all just made sense!”

What experience do you want to give your guests?

“We want everyone to have a great time. We are so happy that our guests can finally dance as it is really important to us that everyone has a great night, filled with lots of dancing and good times”

Why did you choose to get a wedding Video?

Kimberley has always wanted a wedding video as a keepsake, it was never a question ‘if’ they should get one. “I always think of being able to look back on your wedding day, which everyone says is the best but quickest day of your life. I also love the idea of being able to share it with our future children and look back on it when we are old.”

Why did you choose us to capture your wedding day memories?

“We actually had you as a recommendation from some of our friends. One couple had used you guys for their wedding video quite a few years ago and we loved but it was after speaking with you both we knew you were the right fit for us and we wanted to book in immediantely. We love all of your work, the photos and videos are amazing.”

We love because it’s the only true adventure
